PROJECTS / CPAs
Projects Across Africa
ARCBP is designed to accommodate multiple Component Project Activities across different landscapes.
Each project can respond to its own local conditions while operating within the broader programme framework.
Wushumbu Ranch Carbon Project
Ranching Company Carbon Project
The Wushumbu Ranch Carbon Project is intended to be the first CPA under the Africa Rangelands Carbon & Biodiversity Programme.
The project provides an initial platform for applying the programme approach within a ranching landscape.
Further project information, implementation details, baseline information and project documentation will be presented as the project develops.
Wundanyi Community AFOLU Project
The Wundanyi Community AFOLU Project is another intended Component Project Activity within the programme.
The project comprises four wards and originates in Wundanyi Ward.
Its development reflects the programme’s broader objective of working with community landscapes as well as ranching enterprises.
Growing the CPA Network
The programme is intended to accommodate additional projects, including ranches and community landscapes in:
Kajiado | Taita Taveta | Makueni | Other Kenyan Counties
The programme is also designed to expand beyond Kenya to Tanzania and other African countries, subject to participation and project development requirements.
